At AlphaMind Chess Hub, our lesson policies are designed to keep scheduling clear, fair, and consistent for all students and families. We always try to be reasonable and accommodating where possible, while also protecting reserved lesson time.
 

1. Monthly Lesson Commitment

Students are enrolled in a recurring lesson plan with a minimum commitment of 4 lessons. Monthly fees are based on the total number of lessons scheduled for that month and are payable in advance, unless another arrangement has been agreed upon.

2. Rescheduling and Makeup Lessons

At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a lesson. When sufficient notice is given, the missed lesson may be moved to a makeup slot, subject to availability. Missed lessons do not receive a fee adjustment, as the makeup lesson serves as the replacement.

3. Late Cancellations

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered late cancellations. These lessons are charged in full, and makeup lessons are not guaranteed.

4. No-Shows

If a student misses a lesson without any prior notice, it will be treated as a no-show. The full lesson fee will apply.

5. Late Arrivals

If a student joins a lesson late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time unless otherwise agreed in advance. This helps keep the schedule fair for all students.

6. Coach Cancellations
If coach needs to cancel a lesson, the parent or student may choose either a makeup lesson or credit for that lesson.

​

7. Early Withdrawal and Refunds

If a student stops lessons after paying in advance for the month, any eligible refund will be calculated after deducting the value of lessons already used, along with an administrative fee equal to 1 class. This helps cover scheduling and planning already committed for the reserved lesson slot.

8. Ending Recurring Lessons

Students on recurring lesson plans are asked to provide at least 2 weeks’ notice before ending lessons. This helps with scheduling and allows reserved time slots to be managed properly.

9. Agreement to Policy
By continuing with lessons at AlphaMind Chess Hub, students and parents acknowledge and accept the lesson policies listed above.
